Announced earlier this week by Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, Paris Fashion Week will make its return in September 2020 for the women's Spring/Summer 2021 shows.
Although no concrete information has been leaked on designers and details of the runway shows, the dates of September 28 and October 6 have been confirmed for Paris.
This comes shortly after Copenhagen Fashion Weeks announcement that they will resume all normal fashion functions come August. Copenhagen is the one major city that remained open during the Corona Virus pandemic. The shows will take place from August 9 to August 12, just 5 days later than their regular scheduled programming.
In the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic, many designers have had to take a pause. This was evident for Men's Fashion Week SS2021 that was put on indefinite hold. Many runways have migrated their shows online, however, for brands such as Burberry and Dior, the traditional experiential runway is already in the works for September.
Although Paris and Copenhagen will attempt to resume as normal, London Fashion Week and Tokyo Fashion Week have already announced their decision to go completely digital which will include experiences such as online designer interviews, designer showrooms, and of course coveted runways.
As for New York Fashion Week, we're still waiting on a comment.
