Toronto Fashion Week (TFW) makes its highly anticipated return for SS19 from September 4th to 6th, and it's all we can talk about.
As a leader in fashion, culture, and art, Toronto Fashion Week is partnering with RE\SET™ once again to showcase some of Canada's most coveted designers. Bringing what they've stated as "new and engaging experiences to the fashion community" this 3 day event in Yorkville Village will take attendees "through designer presentations, a designer showroom, live podcasts with special guests and much more."
As their third and most exciting season, you can imagine how big this week will be. Designers from all over are said to be participating, prepping these upcoming weeks to deliver unforgettable displays and runways. And even though this dazzling event will parade big names and stellar runways, we love that Toronto Fashion Week sticks to it's Canadian roots and still manages to provide recognition to some incredible Canadian designers, helping those obtain a platform to showcase their amazing designs.
This season, TFW has announced that you will "also see returning programs such as live tapings of the podcast series, Fashion Talks™, and the consumer-facing retail experience, the RE\SET™ Designer Showroom." They have also cited that this season a new partnership has emerged with the Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design (CAFTCAD) - meaning you can expect an exciting exhibition.
What's more, this larger than life event will once again take place in its home - founding partner Yorkville Village, and although they haven't announced the star studded attendance we can only imagine who will be there with a past line up of Jean Paul Gaultier, Derek Blasberg, Francesco Carrozzini and Mark Guiducci.
With so much to learn about Toronto Fashion Week and the days leading up to it, we know that as a "catalyst for media engagement and coverage, retail activity and global connectivity", it's going to be an event you don't want to miss out on.
