Réalisation Par: A Brand to Know

As much of a cliché as it is to admit, I’m still in love with French girl fashion. Having lived there for a year, I can honestly say from experience that the ladies there have some serious style. No leggings, no sweat pants, no yoga gear in sight - even while they’re running errands on a Saturday afternoon! French women somehow manage to always look effortless yet polished and chic at the same time, which is definitely an aesthetic I aspire to achieve in my daily life. Enter Réalisation Par.

This French-inspired brand was created by Australian It-Girls Alexandra Spencer and Teale Talbot. Creating a line of pieces that are designed to fit into your existing wardrobe (as opposed to insinuating that your entire closet needs to be overhauled every season) the brand has gained a cult following of celebs and models alike. With the help of social media and the power of online influencers, word of mouth has turned this small Aussie brand into an Insta-famous fan favourite.

Chances are you’ve already had a chance to see the brand’s star product, the Alexandra dress (named after Réalisation Par ‘s co-founder of course) worn by your favourite bloggers and street style stars. It’s a patterned wrap dress in a simple, feminine design that has caught the attention of fashionistas everywhere. And although the Alexandra is what brought this brand onto the fashion scene, the label has grown to include French-girl approved blouses, skirts and tanks as well

Their retro-inspired prints appeal to today’s modern woman in a way that’s both timeless and nostalgic. The ‘Daisy’ print is one of my personal favourites, reminding me of my 90’s style icon Cher Horowitz/Alicia Silverstone in the movie Clueless. I can clearly imagine Cher reaching into her mechanical closet and pulling out one of the label’s ‘Christy’ dresses, which makes me love them even more. In the line, as well as retro florals there’s also plenty of polka dots and animal motifs to be found, so it’s no wonder that Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, and Selena Gomez have all been spotted in Réalisation Par.

Even though I’m a massive fan of this brand, there’s just one thing keeping me from snapping up one of Réalisation Par’s covetable polka-dotted mini dresses: the price point. Averaging out at around $200 US BEFORE taxes or shipping, or around $260 Canadian at the time of my writing this post, it’s a bit steep for a dress, lovely as it may be. If you’re curious about what sets these dresses apart from others that may be similar, they’re all made at the company’s L.A. headquarters out of 100% silk fabrics. It’s an investment for sure, but with dresses that are made in timeless shapes and high quality fabrics, I’m warming up to the idea of taking the plunge and making my first Réalisation Par purchase.
