Meghan Markle’s Serious Royal Style

Since officially becoming the Duchess of Sussex nearly two months ago, former Suits star Meghan Markle has been on a whirlwind of a ride, showcasing some serious fashion along the way. With multiple public events under her belt already, Meghan has been exhibiting her modern, chic style and has paved the way with trendsetting styles (boatneck collars anyone?) that are sure to be imitated by women around the world. Keeping up with her wardrobe changes can be a job in itself, so we’ve rounded up all the official outfits Meghan Markle has worn in public since becoming a duchess.

Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday Celebration

As the newly debuted Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first outing after their marriage, Meghan had a lot of pressure to live up to her stunning wedding dresses. For the occasion, she chose a sheer dress by British label Goat and accessorized with simple accessories in matching nude tones that didn’t disappoint.

Trooping of the Colour

For those unfamiliar with this ceremony, it’s the official celebration that takes place on the second Saturday of June to commemorate the reigning monarch’s birthday. For her first Trooping of the Colour parade, Meghan went with a pale pink Carolina Herrera dress and a Philip Treacy Hat – a must for any royal celebration!

Cheshire Royal Engagements

For her first visit accompanying the Queen without her husband, on a visit to Cheshire Meghan chose a sleek caped dress in another neutral shade. The belted Givenchy dress made an understated statement, allowing the Queen to take center stage in her lime green frock coat and dress.

Queen’s Young Leaders Awards

At the gala event celebrating inspiring youth from across the Commonwealth, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Queen at the Young Leaders Awards. She donned a custom two-piece double-breasted Prada ensemble in a nude shade. Are we noticing a pattern?

Royal Ascot 2018

At this year’s Royal Ascot races, Meghan chose a white button-down dress by Givenchy that she paired with black accessories, and another Philip Treacy hat. This outfit is a great example of her ladylike style managing to stay conservative, yet fashionable.

Commonwealth Youth Forum

Meghan and Harry attended the Commonwealth Youth Forum Reception, and for this occasion she switched up her wardrobe of classic neutrals for a vibrant shade of yellow. Keeping with her preferred neckline of choice, this boatneck yellow number by American designer Brandon Maxwell is a bold choice for summer.

Prince Louis’ Christening

To celebrate the christening of her nephew Prince Louis, Meghan opted for a monochromatic look in head to toe olive green. This look was designed by Ralph Lauren, and was embellished with a matching hat by Stephen Jones.

Royal Air Force Centenary Service

The day after Prince Louis’ christening, Megan and Harry attended celebrations at Westminster Abbey for the Royal Air Force. She chose a timeless navy a-line dress by Dior with a sculptural headpiece by Stephen Jones.

Royal Visit to Ireland

This past week the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been touring Ireland, with many wardrobe changes for the occasion. With FIVE outfit changes (including the RAF ceremony dress) in one day, Meghan really had the opportunity to show off her serious style. Be sure to stay keep an eye on Meghan, as there are sure to be plenty of amazing looks to come!
