When it comes to exquisite, one of a kind garments that speak volumes, Pamela Roland is a pioneer. Last season for SS20 we saw the label bring to life a mesmerizing twist of feminine and fun, but this season the label amplified the collection with a more sophisticated spin.
For Fall/Winter 2020 Pamella Roland found inspiration within the Palace of Versailles. Elegant, regal and momentous, specific elements of the interior such as the chandeliers, tapestries, furniture, art and ornate architecture were captured throughout the collection with modern embroidery techniques, fabrics, colors and silhouettes.
Upon watching the runway we were captivated by the intricate and delicate detail that went into each piece. Whether it was a crystal embroidered ball gown, feathered sleeve, or dangling fringe, each element of the design was carefully curated for a glamorous and architecturally extravagant garment.
In whole, the collection offered variation but didn't stray away from the core concept of regal elevation. Utilizing a powerful and rich colour scheme in addition to silhouettes that flattered while still remaining quite conservative - Pamella Roland truly embodied the Palace of Versailles.
