With Fashion month at a close and the designers heading back to their studios to congure up their next collections, we can't help but reminisce on some of the iconic runways that took place for Fall/Winter 2019.
Today, after watching weeks and weeks of runways, we're breaking down the top runways that we witnessed on catwalks around the world. So let's take a look and see who made our top runways of fashion month list.
Chanel
It wouldn't be a runway recap without Chanel. The infamous luxury brand awed audiences by showcasing a range of their more traditional pieces like tweed co-ords and whimsical gowns - but also pieces far outside their comfort-zone like bold color monochrome looks and some very playful textures. As the late Karl's last collection with Chanel, it was everything we could have asked for.
Celine
Timeless and chic, Celine's Fall/Winter 2019 collection blurred the line between femininity and masculinity. Although more on the relaxed side the collection showcased a range of diverse silhouettes. Completing looks with gold accessories and neck scarves, we felt transported to a more traditional Celine.
Alexander McQueen
Silver detailing, asymmetric suiting, heavy leather and belted looks were all the rage at Alexander McQueen's rocker runway. What we loved so much about this runway was McQueens fearlessness. As McQueen does, the bolder the better, with some looks covered head to toe in silver jewels, and others head to toe in bright red leather.
Gabriela Hearst
Minimal, well tailored and with wearability in mind, Gabriela Hearst's collection was a eco-friendly fashion lovers dream. Using recycled cashmere and silks, Hearst was able to show sophistication through full relaxed cashmere looks and eloquently tailored suiting.
Gucci
Breaking through gender stereotypes, Gucci unveiled a collection that was both bold, full of pattern and genderless. What's more, the use of accessories like spiked masks and collars we're the perfect addition to an already awe-inspiring collection.
Valentino
This season, whimsical gowns fluttered on the Valentino runway. The iconic a-line dresses in addition to more everyday flower printed pieces, showed a contemporary but very feminine side of Valentino that we've been seeing more frequently on the runway. We loved the addition of accessories like a bold clutch or a statement hat.
The Row
Oversized fits with exquisite tailoring, the Olsen twins know a thing or two about putting together minimalist and modern pieces. Using mock necks as the focal of many looks this collection played with various fabrics, harmonizing pieces we would have never imagined. Sticking to a neutral palette as the Olsens do, it was everything we could have asked for in a collection.
