I have a neon PROBLEM! This season I am in love with it so much. For me, it's just a bright and fun element that also adds a touch of "fresh" to an outfit - ESPECIALLY with the gloomy weather we've been having in Toronto.
When it comes to neon I have no boundaries - I’ll go full head to toe or I'll add in hints of it throughout my daily monochromatic looks. For many people, however, neon can be a little intimidating. If you're just starting to incorporate this trend and not ready for a full head to toe neon look, I've got you covered with my top ways to inject it into an everyday outfit.
A Neon Hat
A beanie or even a baseball cap is a perfect way to brighten up an outfit. To start you can try an all black outfit and then pick your favourite colour, and throw on a neon hat. You can find neon beanies anywhere, Amazon and Urban Outfitters are great options with prices varying from $10 - $20. It’ll add a slight edginess to your look and give you that bright and happy confidence.
A Purse/Fanny Pack.
This is a very low investment, low impact way to get on the neon train. You can choose as small or as big of a bag that you want. I would recommend picking up something from Forever21 or Amazon for $20 or less. No stress just fun and when your bored of it, you can donate it and get on your way.

A Layering Piece
T-shirt, crop top, turtle neck or something of that nature. My favorite for this cold winter has been a turtle neck. You can put a neon turtle neck underneath a sweater, button up or Jacket and only see a small little part poke out for a little extra brightness. Be totally put together and inject some high fashion into your look by flashing a neon turtle neck. You can pick one up for under $30 at Aritzia, on Amazon or try a vintage shop.
