Established in 2015 by Prisca Vera Franchetti, PRISCAVera is a recognized womenswear label merging relaxed fits with sophistication. It's a brand that any fashion lover would pine over and last week we got to see it in action.
For Fall and Winter 2019 PRISCAVera pulled out all the stops with a stunning collection based on the premise of individual internal conflict. From our take on the runway and some notes collected, the collection modeled both the chaos and the peace that we so frequently find within ourselves and express through the pieces we wear. It honed in on the emotional struggle and the pieces we use as protection by showcasing a range of fabrics and color, from more muted tones to pops of coral and mint - the collection depicted ones "moodiness" and range of emotion.
In the collection PRISCAVera also debuted her first ever knitwear line, showcased as chunky knit sweaters and voluptuous scarves.
Through the array of beautiful garments and stunning accessories, we managed to narrow down some of the top trends from the PRISCAVera Fall/Winter 2019 runway.
The Midi/Maxi
For Fall and Winter 2019 it's all about the long draped midi's/maxi's. Designer, Prisca Vera did a phenomenal job disseminating her message of internal conflict with her skirts and dresses ranging from soft silk pieces to more structured and constricting skirts.
Delicate Slips
Delicate slips played a large role in the collection, making for a fluid transition between pieces. Styled as both a layering piece and by itself, the slips served as a reminder of our soft and fragile inner-selves.
Sheer Elements
With Prisca Vera's message in mind during the collection, sheer elements can be thought of as a reflection of ourselves. Gaurding our bodies with material but never relinquishing our true selves.
Stripes
Horizontal stripes were highly evident throughout the PRISCAVera collection. Giving a more ready to wear, athleisure feel we loved the stripe on stripe looks.
Athleisure
A trend we've been all over for the upcoming seasons was so eloquently depicted in this collection. Chic and timeless athleisure added a more structured - armor like - element to the collection.
Accessories, Accessories
Chunky knit scarves, hand socks and string belts completed looks on the PRISCAvera runway. Considered as "armor"- protecting from outside influences, these accessories really pulled the looks together.
