Your Toronto Summer Bucket List

Whether you are from Toronto or just visiting, there is no shortage of things to do in the city during the summer. From festivals to art galleries to strolling around a scenic park, Toronto has it all.

Today, we're counting down the top things to do in Toronto this summer, to make

Have Brunch At Lavelle

The summer season is patio season, and in Toronto there is no better place to sip your first summer mimosa than Lavelle. Located on the west side of the Toronto core, Lavelle is a swanky rooftop patio with one of the best views of the city.

Imagine all the food you could ever eat; deep fried, slow roasted, covered in sugar or battered in beer, The CNE is a must see for anyone looking to stuff their face or to enjoy a local band while they sip on some yummy local beer.

Amsterdam Brewhouse/Harborfront Patio's

There’s nothing that says summer more than enjoying a nice cold iced tea (or spiked ice tea) on a hot day by a scenic coast. And in Toronto, Harborfront is your destination to do just that. More specifically, Amsterdam Brewhouse is a great place to visit in the summer with its amazing patio and cute lighting it's a must.

Caribana

One of the biggest festivals in Toronto, Caribana celebrates Caribbean culture and tradition! From colorful costumes to decorated streets, this festival starts at Exhibition Place and struts all along Lake Shore Boulevard. Trust us, you're guaranteed a good time.

Taste of the Danforth

One of our personal favourites, the Taste of Danforth celebrates the multicultural diversity of Toronto by holding a street festival full of unique and tasty foods. From Indian to Greek to Thai, there's nothing you won't want to try (seriously our mouths are watering over here).

Visit the Toronto Islands

Now, would it be a summer in Toronto without visiting the Toronto Islands? We vote no. Last year, having it be closed down was devastating, but this year it is back up and running and definitely a must visit.

Go Vegan For A Day

Calling all vegans! Nearing the end of the summer Veg Fest is back at Harborfront with Veg cooking from over 140 vendors. Try locally-made cashew ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, artisanal vegan cheeses, pizza, sausages, samosas, and so much more! It's a true vegan heaven.
