On The Runway: Hip and Bone FW18

Photo provided by TOM*

Combining luxurious materials with relaxed silhouettes Hip and Bone is every man's wardrobe essential. Last Sunday they closed Toronto Men's Fashion Week with their FW18 "The Crazy Never Die" collection and left the crowd eager for more.

Created by Carlos Fogelman in 2010 in order to redefine “hip” to elegance, Hip and Bone is a contemporary streetwear brand that is edgy yet modern. Since inception Hip and Bone has made numerous strides being featured internationally at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Shanghai Fashion week and of course TOM*.

Our team sat down and watched the runway from start to finish - and their wearable pieces had us stalking their Instagram all night. From the runway, we managed to narrow down some common themes. So without further ado, here are the top trends we spotted at the Hip and Bone runway show:

Distressed Denim

Nobody does distressed like Hip and Bone. Following the theme of streetwear, the distressed denim pieces that they showcased were made rugged yet contemporary. The incorporation of distressed denim - in our humble opinion - really pulled the looks together.

Moto-Style Leather

We love a good leather jacket and this season Hip and Bone took the classic look to another level . With the incorporation of gun metal detailing, and using leather not only in the jackets but in pants and shoes, Hip and Bone really elevated the classic moto-style look.

Muted Tones

Hip and Bone is infamous for playing with muted, neutral tones. We love the way they layer the neutral pieces - showcasing that muted palettes can be chic and cool.

Plaid

We loved the incorporation of plaid to this collection. From bright red to deep blue coats, plaid was a great statement piece for a number of looks. Our favourite? We loved the longer, plaid over coat.
