Last Saturday at Toronto Mens Fashion Week, Ross Mayer's latest collection "Mayer Man" hit the stage for an epic runway.

As an iconic and internationally renowned designer, let's just say finding a seat at his show was difficult. Not only did the attendees include everyone who's anyone but notable designers such as Hendrixroe came out to support this amazing show.

For those of you who don't know, Mayer Man is a Toronto based luxury menswear label created by award winning Canadian designer Ross Mayer. He's an established women's wear designer recognized internationally by retailers such as Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and so many more. "Inspired by high street style, coupled with a young cool care free vibe the collection pays tribute to iconic outerwear pieces mixed with elevated street-style separates that blur the boundaries between casual and chic, masculine and feminine."

We were blown away by the length of his collection and variety of garments he presented. However, through the plethora of gorgeous pieces we managed to take away some of the main trends from the runway. So without further ado, here are the biggest trends from Ross Mayers, Mayer Man collection:

Bright Color - and lots of it

Mayers collection was full of bright colors and funky pattern. We especially loved how he paired more muted outfits with vibrant pieces, it just added that necessary dimension and brought the entire look together. Some of the main colors he incorporated in his collections were, reds, greens, yellows and blues.

Sequins

This was our personal favourite from the show, no one does sequins quite like Ross Mayer. To give a retro yet fresh look Mayer paired his sequined pieces together creating a co-ord that we would love to rock.

Fur

This season Mayer took the iconic fur look and went all out. Incorporating it in coats and shirts, the use of furs added texture and flare to the looks. We loved the jumbo fur coat with the small broach detail, it just screamed luxury.

Military Vibes

A lot of the runways this season sported military themes, and Mayer's collection was no exception. Incorporating double breasted coats and militaristic hats, we couldn't help but fall in love with these looks.
