On The Runway: Hendrixroe FW18 Recap

Last night, highly anticipated Hendrixroe hit the runway and did NOT disappoint.

Crowds were booming at Toronto Fashion Week last night and as the clock struck 9:30PM the room for the Hendrixroe runway was filling up. The lights dimmed before the show would start, and just as it did Kardinal Offishall came out. Dressed head to toe in Hendrixroe, Kardinal opened the runway for the models walking out in sequins, bold color, and big hats.

With that in mind, here are some of the biggest trends we saw on the Hendrixroe FW 2018 Runway from last night:

Sequins on Sequins

Now it isn't Hendrixroe without a little glamour. We loved the sequined looks she was giving us, from long purple sequined gowns, to tailored sequined suits, this trend was giving us luxury and fun.

60's Throwback

We love a good 60's throw back. The Hendrixroe FW18 collection sported patterened pants, big hair, and psychadellic jackets. We love the mustard color that she incorporated and the bold patterns.

Embellishments

Embellishments and added texture is what Jordan does amazing with Hendrixroe. Adding feathering, fur or flower embellished hats, she elevated every look with some embellishment.

Funky Suits

I loved this trend on the runway. Hendrixroe always has the most unique but wearable suits, for men and women. I mean, I spend half of the runway deciding which printed suit would look good on me, until I've decided I want them all.

Color Blocking

Unlike SS18 where you saw models wearing the same color head to toe, the fall winter seasons are all about wearing variations of the same color head to toe. A bright orange jumper with a dark orange jacket paired with printed orange pants. Hendrixroe's collection nailed this look and sold us on the idea that you can wear the same color head toe and still look like a million dollars.
