With the new year finally upon us and the spring season slowly but surely inching its way towards us, we're more excited than ever for Spring/Summer Fashion Week to touch down in Toronto this new year. At Avenue24, Fashion Week is like Christmas all over again, it just keeps on giving and giving one glorious collection after another. From out of this world pieces, to up and coming Canadian designers, to iconic runway performances – we couldn’t imagine Toronto Fashion Week getting any better, yet somehow, someway, they did.
It’s 2018 and everything is bigger and better, and that is no exception to Toronto Fashion Week who just recently announced they will be partnering with THE COLLECTIONS™, a Toronto-based designer management and production agency that looks to promote Canadian talent (a concept we are very fond of).
This means that Toronto Fashion Week - taking place this February - will be providing a more engaging and refreshing experience to attendees than ever before – a runway you don't want to miss.
For those of you who don't know, Toronto Fashion Week or as some might refer to as "TWF" is a leading fashion event showcasing art, music and culture. It's a star-studded runway that takes place in the most luxurious neighbourhood in Toronto - Yorkville Village, with the best of the best in fashion. Last year fashion moguls such as: Jean Paul Gaultier, Derek Blasberg, Francesco Carrozzini and Mark Guiducci were in attendance, and while the list for this years event hasn’t been made public yet, we can only imagine the fashion icons that will be attending this 3 day runway event.
But what made us so keen on sharing this event was the newly announced collaboration because it not only means more coverage but now more than ever Canadians will be recognized for their amazing contributions to the fashion world - a concept we are very passionate about here at Avenue24. We truly believe in the potential of Canadian talent whether fashion designer, model, photographer, you name it, this new collaboration between Toronto Fashion Week and THE COLLECTIONS™ will only enhance Canadian presence in the fashion industry– and we are so excited for it.
2018 is definitely the year for Canadians in fashion and it's evident through this collaboration and the amazing strides over the years that Toronto Fashion Week is at the forefront.
