Sleigh Bells are ringing and I’m looking like an over worked little elf who hasn’t had a day off from the assembly line or a full night’s rest in months. This time of year, it can be easy to really let yourself GO – but with a week until the holidays the crunch is on to pull yourself together and look like you have a grip for all the holiday parties you’re about to be faced with!
Personally, I’m about to jet off to Mexico in t-5 days so the grind to find the best places to clean up this mess I call my body is no joke. The list to get myself in prime condition is never ending, but with a little elbow grease and help from Toronto’s best, I will be beach/holiday party ready in no time at all.
So, without further ado let me divulge into my list of the top places in Toronto you need to get your beauty fix on:
1. Waxing:
If I’m going to have to bear it all in a bikini for the next two weeks straight you better believe I’m going to do everything in my power to clean up shop. The last thing I need while enjoying a couple Mai Tais in a lounge chair is the fear of flashing an ungroomed bush to any innocent passersbys!!
My favorite place to take care of BUSINESS is Fuzz Wax Bar. They are my top choice because they only focus on hair removal so I can trust that they are experts. I’ve got an appointment booked for this Friday and words can’t even describe my excitement to walk out of there feeling like the fresh aerodynamic hairless rat that I aspire to be.

2. Nails
Have you ever had the perfect Instagram photo set up all laid out – you know the kind where you're holding a glass of prosecco, while simultaneously showing off your outfit, or the background – or most iconic of all where you’re holding up a picture of a polaroid – and just as you are about to snap the pic you realize your grimy little nails are ruining the entire photo ??? K same!! Omg!! Having your nails in prime condition at all times is the key to looking like you have your life together.
In Toronto one of my favorite places to get my nails done is The Ten Spot. They have locations all over the city and it’s a nice step up from your typical nail joint. Much to your surprise they even message you while they’re pushing back your cuticles!! What a treat!!

3. Hair
Having nice hair can really go a long way. I usually sob for about ten minutes’ post hair cut regardless of the results – but I also spend a solid week feeling fresh, beautiful and split end free! My go-to hair salon in Toronto for the past 3 years has been Bob and Paige in the east end. It’s a super cute spot with great ratings on yelp! They also just opened another floor in the salon so I imagine their wait list has gone down significantly! So, if you’ve been dying to check this place out the time is NOW.

4. Lashes
Having your lashes done is suuchhh a blessing I can’t even describe. It just really streamlines the productivity of your morning routine without having to worry about that ungodly mascara step!!
A lot people find great lash extension deals where they visit someone’s basement in like Etobicoke – but if you want to stay on the safe side my recommendation would be Lust for Lashes on Dundas West. I had my lashes done here before going on vacation last year and it was such a lovely experience. They gave me a plush robe for god sakes!! No better way to feel pampered then being offered a plush robe!!!
