Winter is tough, it’s getting colder and let’s face it—we're getting lazier. All we want to do is snuggle up to our favorite movies and drink hot chocolate. The thought of going out in this weather is just painful. ...
But don't worry, we've got good news! Hair trends for this season are reflecting exactly how we’re feeling, so say goodbye to your too-tough-to maintain unicorn colours and not so effortless curls. This season is all about relaxed, easy to manage and on-the-go style.
Style
Wash and wear is this season’s look. Let your hair air dry and embrace the natural look, whether curly or straight. Toss it with salt water spray, or don’t—it’s totally up to you but keep it relaxed and effortless. For a more polished look, using an iron, curl the mid-shaft of the hair, leaving the root and ends natural. This will give a softer, relaxed curl. Loosen it with your fingers and allow the curl to cool before spraying it. We're stepping away from that slicked wet look that's graced the red carpet one to many times, and trying to be a little more relaxed. To achieve this, use pomade to comb the root away from your face and spray the ends with a shine spray.

Cut
We loved your lob, but this season is all about the super short bob. Don't panic—chin length is exactly what you need to show off that jaw line and perfect contour. This cut is super easy to maintain and is the perfect way to redefine your style. Ask your stylist for one length or light texture at the bottom for easy styling. Try it with a short wispy bang for added personality.

Colour
Solid colours are in. Sorry ladies, but your ombre just won’t cut it this season. Your hair needs a break from all the damage it endured from the summer, trust me—it will thank you. Try sticking to a natural shade for winter. Regardless of which colour you choose, ditch the highlights and commit to it. Hot colours this season include platinum blonde, copper reds and a dark rich brown.

Up Do
Don’t be afraid to turn that rock song up a little louder and really let loose. This winter, we're paying tribute to a few of our favourite hair styles from the 90’s. Try simple double buns by sectioning your hair down the middle and knot into two separate, relaxed buns. Leave some pieces out around your face and hairline. This goes for your classic pony too, let those grown out bangs fall around your face.

We are loving this season’s hair trends. Relaxed and easy is all we can handle this winter. There is a lot of experimenting that can be done with your hair so be bold and try them all, but don’t try too hard.
