Top 5 Coat Trends You'll See This Winter

Coats are an essential part of winter. DUH. But choosing the right one is so hard. .. I mean, coats are not cheap and you're usually stuck with them for a couple years, so the decision you make is kind of like life or death?

When we went searching for the perfect coat for 2017 we realized that choosing the right coat can't be so black and white. This year there are so many different coat trends floating around, so we wanted to narrow it down.

Here are the top 5 coat trends you'll see this winter:

The Puffer

Am I the only one obsessed with metallic puffers??? Puffers are so in right now, regardless of the color, they're chic, comfortable and oh so warm (they also remind me of snow bunnies in the 60's??). This one by S13/NYC even has the hand warmers, I mean it just screams "lets get in a snowball fight!!".

The Wool

Everybody loves a classic wool coat. They're chic, sophisticated and I don't think they ever go out of style. .. The only down side is that depending on what kind of wool you get they might not be as warm as some utility winter jackets. They still look cute tho.

The Fur

Fur is 2017's year. Vegan fur or non vegan fur, everyone is wearing it. EVERYONE. If you're looking for a trendy piece to glam up your wardrobe then look no further, just be prepared to spend more $$$ if you're thinking about wearing real fur.

The Leather

This style of coat is making a big return, Sherling Leather made an appearance last year in the fall but this winter it's taking front stage. Models everywhere are rocking it in their "off-duty" looks and it is goals.

The Parka Okay, whoever invented the parka was a genius. I bought one 4 years ago, wore it ever freaken year, and then when I purchased a regular coat to replace it, my thighs were always SO COLD. Why? Because parkas are long and they're thick. Parkas are like the Canadian essential, they're literally impenetrable. .. It could be -834617612 and I'd still be feeling like I'm in Cuba.
