Stephan Caras SS18 : Recap

About the Designer:

Stephan Caras was recently featured in CEO World Magazine and Runway Magazine’s “List of World’s Top 20 Fashion Designers” and “Top 25 Most Beloved and Inspiring Fashion Designers of the World”. Caras is from Greece, and earned his education in design in Australia. Stephan Caras works alongside co-designer Kyriako Caras representing the CARAS brand.

The CARAS’ philosophy is to capture and draw inspiration from the femininity that women exude. CARAS refuses to be influenced by trends and instead finds inspiration from feminine sensuality.

Trend Recap:

This show, featuring evening wear, had a dramatic and serious feel to it. From the music, to lightening, to the models, there was something mystical about it.

The major trends that I pulled from the Stephan Caras show were:

Gold tones:

  • I saw this trend both off and on the runway during Toronto Fashion week but seeing this iconic statement in the Stephan Caras show made it officially a must do look for this Spring and Summer seasons. Theres nothing more luxurious than gold.

Flowers:

  • The use of flowers throughout the garments was a big trend in the CARAS show, going with the theme of femininity, incorporating floral for Spring and Summer 2018 is a must.

High Neck line:

  • The duchess herself better find something new because this royal elegant look has hit the runways and is taking off. The high neck look is a quintessential statement of elegance and femininity.

Sheer material:

  • It’s 2017 and therefore no time to hold back when it comes to the transparency of our morals and more importantly of our clothing! Going sheer and bra less is a totally acceptable way to be daring, sexy, and modest all at the same time. There’s no better way to express your inner sensuality!

Although we may not be wearing evening wear on the reg, the inspiration drawn from this show can be incorporated into our everyday style. Don’t be afraid to channel your inner femininity this season by trying out one of these trends!
