I don't even know how to start this blog post, thats how long its been. ...
Hey guys! I know it's been a while, but I AM BACK.
I can't believe it's already the summer. ... ugh where does the time go??
Anyways, with the summer season in full effect I thought it would be only fitting to do a "favourites" of the products I use in the summer to get that glow-y skin look, because lets face it, summer is the season of GLOW.
With that, I hope you enjoy this post :).
In the summer, the first thing I try and use is a nice primer one that can give me that glow but also keep my makeup in check. The Laura Mercier RADIANCE foundation primer is definitely my favourite, it has that sheen to it but also has a nice solid base so your make up can last. I usually pair it with my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in NUDE to get that effortless clear skin look (plus it has SPF!!).
Moving onto highlighters, cause whats a glow-y look without highlighters amiright!? The Benefit Watt's Up highlighter is my go-to at the moment, its a nice creamy consistency when you first apply it and then it drys into a nice powder finish, so it doesn't look oily. On top of that its not a heavily tinted shimmer so it looks good on any skin tone, whether I'm pale or more tanned.
The next two I go in and out of using partially because they have tints. I wear the Nars Liquid highlight in Orgasm, when I feel like I want that rosey cheek and I wear the Smash Box Artificial Light when I feel like I should be more bronzed .
Next are my three favourite powder highlights. I always gravitate toward cream or liquid highlighters because they work so well with my skin, but if I'm feeling like I need an extra pop of something I'll grab one of these bad boys. The first (to the right) is my MAC highlighter in Chez Chez Lame, which gives off a nice champagne shimmer. The second is my Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in Heat Wave, which is a more rich dark brown. Lastly, the third palette is by Urban Decay called Naked Flush, and the highlighter is more of a pinky nude.
All together, these products have worked super well for me, and I hope they work for you too!
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this post and I can't wait to see you in the next one!
