Welcome back to my blog!
Today's post is going to talk about nutrition, more specifically smoothies that I drink regularly and the health benefits that come with them. Before I get started however this post would not be possible with out my favorite book "Green Smoothies" by Fern Green. After struggling with only having one go to smoothie, I decided to take matters into my own hands and purchase a book with an encyclopedia of smoothies with ranging benefits. This book is amazing for those of you who are just starting to get into smoothies because the ingredients are super simple, and each smoothie recipe comes with a little blurb of what the benefits are for your body (ex. blood nourishing, cleansing, skin enhancing etc.), so you can target directly what you want to fix.
With that said, lets get into the smoothies. The first one is a little spin off of one in the book and it is called Tropical Cabbage
Ingredients you will need: half a head of green cabbage, about a cup and a half of mango, 1/3 pineapple, a thumb of ginger, and 1/3 cup of organic orange juice (anything not from concentrate is just fine). Water also works, the ingredients are sweet enough for it to still be delicious.

Blend all the ingredients together, add more liquid to desired consistency, and VOILA. A delicious tropical beverage.

This drink as stated in the book is rick in Vitamin C and K, and aid digestion. It is metabolism boosting, skin enhancing and Digestion Enhancing.

My second favorite smoothie is actually a smoothie bowl, and there are actually only three ingredients needed.
Ingredients you will need: Vega All-In-One Nutritional Shake (in french vanilla or chai), about 1 cup of blueberries, and lastly about a cup of almond milk. (Amount of almond milk should equate to the amount of blueberries.

Blend all the ingredients together, add more liquid to desired consistency, and the
re you have it, a wonderful smoothie bowl.
This bowl contains all your daily vitamins and nutrients, it promotes strong and healthy hair and nails, clears your skin, and aids digestion. This is my favorite smoothie as it fills you up and tastes so sweet and delicious.
So there you have it my two favorite go to smoothies. Although I would love to post more, I'm trying to test out as many as I can so I can give you my honest review of ones that I love. These two I drink almost every day, so I knew I had to share them with you!
Smoothies are a great way to incorporate more nutritional vitamins and minerals into your body, they're easy to digest and they wont make you feel bloated for too long. Plus they taste amazing if you make them right! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and let me know if you end up trying one of my smoothies :). Until next time, thanks for reading!
Lots of loveeee
